Izi Dumo tells of a lovely young lady's adventures whilst travelling in Southern Africa. She is there to restore to the Zulu Nation a valuable artefact, stolen long ago by explorers, the Star of Gold. Bewildered by the vibrant life in modern day Johannesburg she soon finds herself brutally kidnapped by three, slimy-faced, evil gangsters who desire the star and the lady herself. Eventually, with the powerful magic of a great Sangoma, who is assisted by the creatures from the forest, she is rescued, and restored to the arms of her lover. The story climaxes with the return of the Golden Star to the Chief, and a hauntingly beautiful traditional wedding ~ a breathtaking explosion of Zulu dance and song. |
